Although I work with more than 25 salts from all over the world, I am always keen to use Khoisan’s natural, unrefined sea salt as it is one of my favourites. It is a passion of mine to educate both the public and the food lover, to the qualities of a good salt. Khoisan salt is a great salt, of very good quality, and of a world standard. More importantly, and what I am really excited about, is that such a high quality salt is available and produced locally in South Africa.
I am currently doing salt, food and wine pairing demonstrations, a five course dinner, once a month at Overture restaurant on Hidden Valley Wine Estate, where Khoisan’s sea salt features at each dinner.
I am always proud to work with Khoisan and use their salt, give it a bash; you will most certainly not be disappointed!
This is an easy weeknight traybake of chicken pieces in white wine with onions and garlic. The chicken is seasoned with Khoisan’s seaweed & herb salt.
